"It does take a while for the waters to heat up and melt you silly wolf." Aoi said, looking at Kesh. "Though that doesn't mean we can give it a little boost by jumping on it...." Aoi added, her voice trailing off.

Glade grinned, she had a good point, there. "I say we do it. Citali's off somewhere, she won't mind, I'm sure." He was still smiling, he loved the amazingly icy rush he got down his spine whenever he jumped into the water.

"Good. Thats one, now Kesh, what do you think? I think we should go jump on the water, like Glade said, because Citali is off. So now we won't get into any trouble. She's worrying me though, she's been acting strange. I don't know how, maybe thats just how she normally acts, but still..." Aoi shook her head, "Anyways, lets go."

"No, Aoi, it's not how she normally acts. She'd usually be trying to bite our heads off with this 'stupid' idea. But I wouldn't worry, it's just another one of her mood swings. Happens from time to time, usually when there's a Dragga that's wanting to get close to her.." He was hinting Tempestas. "She's not used to that kind of stuff."

Aoi stifled a laugh. "I don't blame her then." There was a hint of teasing in her voice, and a small fleck of laughter too. "Well, if you say I shouldn't be worried, than I won't be." With that, Aoi turned around, swishing her white tail and trotting forward toward the iced waters.

"Hey! Wait for me!" Kesh bounded after Aoi and Glade. "Traitors!"

Tempestas looked up from his little spot by the lake as the group bound out. A smile broke his lips as he yapped out loudly towards them, asking, "What are you rascles up to?" He rose off his haunches and strode over to the group, his body moving in curiousity.

"We're taking a dip in a freezing cold lake. Care to join?" He growled brightly. He hadn't had the chance for too long, and he had wanted to jump into ice cold water ever since he had joined the Starwinders. He barked at Aoi. "Wait up!"

Tempestas laughed, shaking his head, "No, I had a soak last night, no thank you." He looked off into Citali's direction, before adding to the ahppily festive group, "Have fun, and don't get sick! I can't afford to loose any of you." Turning on his mitts, he strode up towards Citali, scenting the new born. He watched her almost eagar to help the newbron and then decided that she would want her privacy, so he turned and instead headed up to the den. Crawling in, he layed down in his favorite spot and rested his head upon his mitts, closing his eyes bordily. Soon, he waas engulfed in sleep, and was happy about it.

"If we were about to die, you'd be the first to know!" Kesh barked, moving up quicker to rejoin Aoi and Glade as they ran toward the water.
((Night!))

(Night, be sure to wish Youko/Blue a Happy Birthday!)
Glade nodded. "Not even the coldest of waters can kill a StarWinder, we're just too strong for it!" He thought of Fenris and how angry he would be at his comment. He could see Fenris' angry face, making him laugh out loud, as if for no reason.
Citali, on the other hand, was finished with watching the newborn, for the hind had turned its head her way, and then a large stag had come out from the bushes on the opposite side, nearest the hind. She hadn't heard the conversation or seen the party go towards the river, so she decided to go to the caves, since she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep all last night, and the food in her belly and the fatigue that had overcome her at the Hunt was screaming for sleep.
"Hello, Tempestas..." She couldn't even say anything else to the Dragga, for she had already fallen asleep.

Aoi looked over to Kesh and Glade. "You two are too slow," She laughed, joking the two around, "You need to start running more often." With that, she slowed up as a frozen water mass came into view. The ice was thin, yes, but it was still there, and since it wouldn't heat up too much until later, they'd have to speed up it's breaking.

Glade didn't bother to say anything back to Aoi's comment, he was too worried about the ice. It would be even harder than he had expected, obviously none of the Lera had come around and stomped on the ice to break it, and none had licked the ice for a drink in many suns, so it was no where near thin. The salmon would not be coming downstream for about one more moon, and then the prey would be truly plentiful. Young bear cubs would be wandering down for the mountains, and Glade had aquired a taste for one of these creatures, but they were rare since a mother bear was so protective. Also, wolverines, another favorite of Glade's, would be trying to catch the slippery fish.
"Come on, let's try and walk on it, see how thick it is." Glade suggested, but his suggestion made him frightened. The ice looked thick, but he had a feeling that the looks of the ice were very decieving.

"Fine, I'll go first." Aoi trotted to where the snow met the ice, slowing and placing a paw upon the ice, nothing. So she took another step, carefully walking onto the ice. "It seems to be fine..." She said, taking another step.

"I do run!" He snorted indignantly, gathering speed after the others. The iced did not seem all too thin, but probably not strong enough to support three wolves. He didn't like the prospect of the ice breaking and catching him offguard. He growled lightly as he placed a paw gently on the ice.
