Bayne sighed...and slight smile, surprisingly, spread across her maw..."I...well...thank you...but, unlike your view...I'm always seen as...a bad omen..."
She sighed, no one was nearby, and he kept on asking questions which begged to be answered...so she did.
"You see, I was named in "honor" of cruelty...seeing, when I was simply four months old...my...our mother passed away...and our horrid pack leader saw it an excuse to chase us three off....and not simply that, all three, my brothers and I...where chased out by the hunters of the pack, sick varg...if I'm safe to say...completely...sick..."
She let out a sigh...funny how she was stating all this, but, she didn't really realize...yet.
"...And, ever since then...I can't find the heart to...." She stopped, and looked at Aslan slowly...the words that were to finish the sentence where "...trust anyone..." but, for once, she felt it wasn't right to say something like that; this certain Varg was very kind...offending him in this sort of way didn't seem right...so, instead, she sighed again, and lowered her head slightly, now only waiting for his reaction.
ooc: Hrm...the lack of rp is making me very, very sad...forgive, yes? XD

ooc:No worries, I am forgiving. ^^
ic:"So..there are three of you..." He felt his lower belly lurch, had he given it away? Aslan had said this almost too casually, too knowing. Alas, his curiosity would be out soon enough. The golden Varg had seen this Drappa before, and a few of the others randomly on his travels accross the land as a Free Varg. Eagerly getting out of the subject, he went on.
Turning up his eyes to her face, looking her straight in the muzzle with a determinedly kindhearted expression.
"I understand if you don't trust me." He paused, hoping not to sound harsh and too knowing. "I didn't expect you to."

ooc: Sorry for the lateness, Baggy no feeling good >_<
bic: She nodded slowly..."Yes...three others with me...but it seems I've been trying to get myself isolated from them..."
From above, there was the cawing of a crow, and she couldn't help but look up. She sighed when she saw it was only a lone crow, and not her ravens...wait, exactly how long had they been gone for? Their arrival could be soon now, along with one or more of her family...surely she couldn't be seen with this Varg, could she? She shivered slightly once more, and turned again to the varg before her.
She seemed a bit shocked at his last comment...were her actions speaking louder than her quiet, broken words were? She was sighed again, "I'm sorry.....it's just I suppose I'm not used to the company of others..."

Aslan did not smile, there was no twinkle in his eye. His expression had become stoney and strong, as serious as the eagle on a hunt during times of famine. He, too, looked up at the crow, and then the smile came. It circled around them a black speck in the gently falling snow, bright as the first green against the bleak sky.
"You have spent time alone and time with those that you have no feelings for other than the distant bond of distant family. I understand. A lone Varg is not meant to be used to company, for, if they were, why are we called 'Lone'?"

She sighed once more, "I suppose you're right on that...but at times, you feel...upset, they are family...you know?"
His comments were...powerful, slightly. He was kindhearted, and overly kindhearted, but it seemed, her timid nature was somewhat, offending...
She wasn't ready to comment again...but, surprisingly...she seemed to be growing a bit of slight trust in him, and, to make it known...she layed herself down once more; Now feeling comfortable enough to relax a bit. Again, there was a slight silence, but, she doubted it would last long.

Aslan nodded. "I don't know exactly what you mean, for I don't travel with my family, they're with Fenris now." He did not dare mention her. She was not one with a good reputation in the Northern Land, and, if he did mention anyone else, he feared that she would think they were with him and she would run away.
Seeing her lie down, his expression dropped to a straight one, a relaxed one. He had no reason to worry about being overly kind, which was sometimes his natural custom, but not always. He shook himself, accumulated snow flying off his back and from the depths of his thick neck fur.

She nodded, "I see, the ones I travel with are Blood Cousins, my true brothers where killed off...sadly, I seemed to have escaped that fate...the four would have been so marvelous had they survived, but I suppose it wasn't meant to be that way..."
She thought for a while, indeed, she had seen other Kerls in her travels with her cousins, and, even though the oldest one of them begged to greet them...however, his plans would be altered by Valence, the one who had the most severly messed reputation of them all. Even though Zihark had taken full charge of taking care of the three, he was wise enough not to fight with Valence.
However, their winged companions, the two ravens, two oddly feathered hawks, and one regal Golden Eagle would somehow, in a way, "avenge" what Valence would kill, that was providing information on "fellow" kerls.
She looked at him carefully, not too closely, but slightly...Shadow, the hawk with the black plumage, had told of a Sable colored kerl traveling with what seemed as a demon, however, they never paid attention to his words, Shadow was somewhat...disturbed, similar to Sol, both claiming to be able to see into the past, present, and future spirits around them.
But, until until now, she hadn't really seen a golden-pelted, or Sable colored Varg, could Shadow have had some truth in his words?
She lowered her head slightly, before she built the courage to ask, but the chilling silence after her own comment was starting to become...uncomfortable again.
"You...you don't travel with anyone else, do you?" Her ears folded back slightly, a sign once more that her timidness was starting to erupt again...

Aslan was not afraid to say that he traveled with her, only that he was related to her. She had been chased from many a pack, even groups of Kerls and villages of other darkened Lera, even Man himself. Many tried to kill Nagini and her dark ways, for she lived to serve Wolfbane and it was very odd that she spoke to snakes. Stories surrounded her nowadays, most of them bad in the minds of the Varg that spoke of her. Some said she had spoken to Man and then committed the crime that deserved death-eating him.
He sighed. "Yes, I travel with another, but not often. She only travels with me so that I can protect her against the others." He did not explain, only flicked his tail as a faint, yet familiar scent flashed accross the air for a split second as his eyes flickered over the mountains.
"Her name is Nagini...She speaks to snakes."

She was about to comment again, but was cut off with a thought. Yes indeed, the hawk and the golden eagle had spoken of a Snake speaker...mark of the Demon, but then again the two where always speaking that way, so, they four kerls believed them as imagining things, however, now that he mentioned it...she was starting to believe what the two spoke of...had some truth in them.
She closed her maw, slowly, and instead, turned her ears to a rustling behind her, a few moments later, she felt the cool, hard sensation of heavy claws on her soulder, turning to see Sol, the golden eagle.
"Greetings, Bayne..." Bayne was too shocked to reply right away, not to see Sol, rather the fact that where Sol was, Zihark, her oldest and closest cousin was nearby as well; however, she nodded back to the greeting after a short pause, and her tail wagged softly.
Sol flew by a...sixth sense, with closer observation, it could be seen that the eagle's regal crimson eyes had a very thin, soft covering of greenish-blue film over them. She was rather young, yet her eyes where already dying on her, indeed, she was slightly blind, and her sight was no where near that of a normal eagle's; another reason for why her stance seemed to be...strange, as if she was lost in a deep thought.
Sol spoke again..."Bayne, someone is with you?" She nestled closer to Bayne's ears, her voice in a soft, smooth whipser...Bayne nodded, and the Eagle ruffled her golden-brown feathers, then allowed them to fall back into position, regaining the sleek, regal look.
Sol spoke again, "The twins called for me, the three brothers are together, but the illness was to horrid, so they stayed behind for now...Zihark followed, should be here soon..." Bayne understood this, Eclipse was possibly suffering a bit more than usual, which would cause Valence to stay behind. She sighed relief, if either Valence and his hawk were to come by, they'd cause such chaos...Zihark was a bit more...reasonable, and quite kind hearted as well.
Bayne talked, after a short silence, "So...Sol, Where are the twins? And Zihark?"
Sol answered, her gaze just above the horizon, her voice was slightly emotionless, "Twins fly with Zihark, I flew on ahead, I can't concentrate among them..."
Bayne nodded..."I see..." She gave a glance towards Aslan, feeling the golden eagle's talons softly patting on her flesh, and she spoke to the varg before her..."So...I suppose you'll be meeting...Zihark in a while...", and then she felt silent. So her wish of having another family member nearby was coming true...

During the conversation, Aslan had been curiously sniffing a bush, his side to the golden eagle and to Bayne. The scent was familiar, like the one that came from the mountains, but it was masked with what smelled like...blackberries? What Varg in his right mind would cloak his scent with one that would drive every Putnar after him?
Forgetting the bizarre, blackberry-cloaked scent, Aslan turned his eyes towards Sol. Her eyes made him shudder slightly, but he ignored it.
"I suppose that this...Zihark is one of the family members you travel with?"
The scent was too strong now, too strong to ignore. The golden Dragga's tail twitched, his nose twitched, his ears flicked, his kept lifting up his left front paw. His eyes did not move, though. They stayed on Bayne and Sol, not blinking, not moving, only bearing the delicate light in them that seemed to have been turned to stone. Rustling came from behind the bushes, but nothing else.
Aslan sighed, stopping his twitching.

Sol's position finally shifted, speaking slowly, more to herself then dirrecting it to one of the wolves....however, strange as she was...she seemed to put no effort into talking in a whisper...instead, her blind gaze still over the horizon, she spoke..."Ah, the winds seem to tell The Winter is over...I say, Watch for the twin serpents...the ones who blinded me, the ones who appealed in slowly killing your brother..."
Bayne's ears folded back slowly, Zihark was too kind hearted to notice, but otherwise, Sol sometimes spoke...strange things...and at times, it seemed uncomfortable to be with her in the company of others...Bayne even believed that the raven twins where more exceptable than she was, but...at least she wasn't alone, so she simply turned her gaze back onto Aslan...answering..."Erm...yes, Zihark is...our...gaurdian as you can say, and thankfully, he appeals to other kerls better than the other two...."
There was a slight silence between them for a while, she was silently observing Aslan's actions...he seemed somewhat...worried...she hesitated a bit, but had the nerve to ask, "Aslan, is something...bothering you?"

"Hmm..? What, no. I just...I just thought I heard something..." Aslan peered back into the bushes, wondering what he had heard and smelled.
"It was like...something that only Nagini had brought, snakes, but it was cloaked in something like...like blackberries. I've never smelled anything like it." The golden Dragga wanted to change the subject, afraid that the strange golden eagle would say something about what he had smelled that would bring fear to his blood as her last words had.
"Bayne...Would you..Would you tell me about your family? This golden eagle seems to bring up that subject alot."

Bayne was growing more and more worried, now she wished for Zihark to hurry as well...however, she knew him, and when he said he'd "be there soon", it mostly meant he'd be there...in a while...
Sol was a wonderful companion, she really was...except she wasn't well around...other Kerls, seeing that what she spoke was completely, as it seemed, nonsense.
She rustled her feathers, and gave a deep sigh, for the first time, breaking her dead gaze over the horizon finally, and shut her eyes instead, shifting her position more to the center of Bayne's back, and waiting, again, her position froze still...and that was that.
Bayne sighed...at least it wasn't Shadow, he'd not only be a strange talker, but he'd be highly aggressive creature as well, something she wasn't able to bare at all. "Please...I ask you don't pay much attention to her.....she's...that way, it seems only her varg can keep her in control.....as for my family...it's better I don't talk about it...please..."

Nodding, Aslan turned back towards the bushes. He had heard it again, but its scent was clearer. He couldn't tell what it was, for he had never smelled anything like it, but it smelled of death and pain and blood. Wrinkling his nose, he stuck his maw into the bush, wincing as the thorns pierced his flesh.
In the bushes, lie a snake's old skin, crinkled and wrapped around a rock, the only thing that kept it from flying away into the wind, a tumbleweed on the cold, airy field of the sky.
The moon was now starting to come up over the mountains, but Aslan took no notice of it, for he was looking at the skin. The place where its eyes were supposed to be seemed to be laughing at him, crying in victory. Aslan pulled his head out of the bushes, turned around, and nearly gasped at his shadow. His muzzle was cut and bleeding, but around his head was a ring, a crown, of dark, malicious thorns.
ooc:~gasp~ A sign! Sorry, LTC is this weekend and all I can think about is church stuff and the bible, and, since Aslan and Jesus were similar...well, this week is not good for roleplaying on topic...xD
