Dakshata ran along with the pack, trying to hide in the brush of the bushes. The pack was still chasing the mighty bull moose, and they were gaining speed; so was Dakshata, and he did not want them to get away!
Racing faster and faster, the Alpha female was jumping up to the moose's' neck.
Dakshata watched as each member jumped up and followed the stride of the Alpha's jump, perfectly. When the bull moose gave up and fell down to the ground, the pack circled it, and in one last jump, they were victorious. Dakshata was very quiet, except for his stomach, which was rumbling.
The Alpha heard this rumble, and, getting up, she started toward the bushes, being very cautious. Dakshata stepped out, his tail tight under his belly; ears folded down. The Alpha looked him over once, and spoke: "Why are you here?" He simply said in a brave voice, "I am here to join the pack!"
"Are you?" She said looking him over once more. He nodded his head. "Well then, follow me, its initiation time," she said, and ran off. He followed her, keeping up as much as the Alpha did, and she was going fast!!! A young stag stood there, eating the undergrowth of the forest floor. "There!" She whispered eying the stag.
He looked, and started to prowl around the bushes quietly, staring at the stag. Dakshata stepped cautiously out into the open, gaining on the stag in quiet steps. The stag spotted him but didn't run away; Dakshata came closer, and it started to, but Dakshata got in front of it. He circled it, getting closer, and circled more, and to his luck, he caught the stag by its neck. He ripped off a piece, ate it, and brought one over for the Alpha.
"Very flattering, but, yet, not good enough. I'm sorry.........." Said the Alpha. Dakshata left the pack, slowly moving east, down the side of the river. He turned back, but she was gone, so he went on, in the hot, blazing sun wanting to know what he did wrong.
ooc: ENJOY!!!!! ;D
