Kylie growled, her scruff bristling as she looked out. There were slight shakings in the trees to the left of them. "Kaeric, hurry!" She cried, her ears pinned backward as she watched the pup scrambling toward them. Had they been anywhere else, she would have reached downward to haul him up after them, but she didn't want to make him slip and fall.
She wanted to throw her had back and howl to the adults, wherever they were. The bear was bound to see them anyhow. But she didn't want to draw its attention so soon. "I don't think it will, Loka. It's bear.."

Karakachi dived down near the ground, and a large roar was heard from the ground. Kaeric turned around, looking up to the others. He moved his frail body near the center of the tree, and put a paw to his mouth to make sure they would remain silent.
Karakachi dived down again, screeching loudly. He attacked the bears eyes, clawing and pecking at them. The bear swung it's large paws, and Kaeric swore he heard it say something, "Come on, I'm just hungry! I'll just take one and go!" He looked horrified to Karakachi, who dove down to attack once more, "No! Go eat some rabbit, or find a honey tree, but not this one! Leave before you have to face the wrath of wolves!"
Kaeric quivered on his branch before he bgan to move up slowly, his paws finding the groves in the bark. His nose was quivering frantically as he heard the screeching and roaring fight, and he stopped on the lowest branch of the higher part. He turned to look at the battle, his silver eyes holdign fear for his friend, companion, and guardian.
Karakachi landed in the tree, screeching loudly, "Leave now!" The bear, it's eyes now blinded, turned and strode away, growling over his shoulder, "Your lucky I'm not that hungry, bird." He ran into a tree, shaking his head before walking around it. Karakachi cawed loudly, flapping his wings, "You just lucky I didn't get angry!"
Kaeric shook his head, muttering softly, "This is going to get really confusing after a while." He looked to Loka and Kylie, "I think the battle is finished," a smile came to his maw as he added, "And I saw the bear walk into a tree!"

"Well, that was interesting, wasn't it? You acted quickly and very resourcfully. Well done." Loka closer her maw for nothing came out. That voice had been Glade's.
The smoky grey Beta stood in the entrance of the Rendezvous Site that led out from the plains. Fresh looking blood stained his fur on the ruff of his neck and down his front, as if it had been poured over him like that. He smiled a little up at Kaeric, nodding towards Loka and Kylie.
"Hi, Uncle Glade! I thought you weren't supposed to come untill sundown!" Loka grinned, and was seated before his paws faster than the blink of an eye. "Well, I, uh.." Glade held a look of confusion as he wondered how his niece had gotten from the tree to him so fast.

Kaeric shouted happily, "Uncle Glade!" With laughter, he slid down the tree, rollign around in the dirt at the bottom. Pieces of wood stuck to his fur, but that didn't stop him. He moved quickly untill he was right beside Loka, wagging his tail happily. the golden feather had snuck out of his fur, sticking to the side wildly, a pice of woodchip sticking to it.

"Ah, your feather...Haven't seen that in a while..." Glade seemed to wandering off in memories. That same night he had recovered from an odd emotional ailment and made up with his not-so-secret crush Aoi-Tsuki, the Beta Drappa of the StarWinder pack.
Loka grinned. "Kaeric, why do you have that feather again?"

"What're the rest of you rascals up to, huh, Glade?" Kylie smiled teasingly as she made her way over to them. She looked over to the left side of the site. The stench of bear still hung in the air, and she wrinkled her muzzle and tried not to gag.

Kaeric scratched right behind his ear, thinking for a moment before shrugging, "I don't remember, plus, I think your asking the wrong Varg. Glade was there, plus, he looks like he is thinking about you-know-who again." Kaeric shook his head, turning to Kylie, seeing her face, "I smell it too." Kaeric stuck his tounge out, looking like he was yawning. He shook his head, wrinkling his nose as he closed his maw.

Kylie huffed at the direction the bear had retreated, and then grinned. She waved her tail in front of Glade's face. "Really? How's the greatest love affair comin' along, then?" She asked, taking a spot in the grass.

Glade stuttered parts of curse words, not letting even one come out fully, not in front of the cubs, atleast. Loka seemed to have noticed, however.
"Oooh! Mother doesn't like you saying those things!"
Glade's eyes narrowed to the kindest looking extent, so not to frighten Loka and the other two. He wanted to say 'Your mother does it, too', but changed his mind as it began to roll from his brain to his tongue.
Instead, he changed the subject of cursing to Kylie's comment. "There's no affair, we're just friends." Oh, how he hated talking about this. The adults never spoke about it much, but the cubs, oh the cubs, they wouldn't leave him alone about it.

Kaeric laughed, "I'm gonna tell mommy that you were swearing again!" He wagged his tail, standing up, and started growling playfully, his but up in the air, and his shoulders down to the ground, a snarling smile on his maw, silver eyes sparkling playfully.

"Oh, no you won't!" Glade grinned broadly, immitating his nephew's pose, threatening to leap at him. He only reached out with a large paw, though, trying not to hurt him, for he was much larger than Kaeric was.

Kaeric moved forward, ducking underneath Glades paw before he leapt up onto Glades head, grawing on his ear.

"Good dodge, Kaeric! You'll need that to hunt once you're that old!" Glade smiled. Loka was watching from the trunk of the tree, smiling.

Kaeric grinned from ontop of Glades head, wagging his tail, "Thanks, Uncle Glade!" He rolled down onto Glades back, curling up onto a ball while he grawed on his tail.

"Hey!" Glade growled, nearly rolling over on top of Loka, who gasped and side dodged swiftly. "That hurts!"
