Kylie shot Loka a grateful smile. She was used to other wolves begin wary of herself and Kett, mainly because of their wandering together. She flopped down wearily. "Well, yea..." Kylie sighed. "The running, the chase, all that is great. It gets your blood going, and you feel like you're flying. It's just... the... part after the killing. It's not all that fun, watching the adults tear open the carcass. It scares me when they start to feed. They just lose it. It's like nothing else matters anymore, just the food. And the worst part is that I start to feel a little like that too when I eat. It makes me feel sick." She admitted as an afterthought.

"I've seen mom do that...She bit Ketlam, and he started to bleed..It took him a week to get over it and actually come near her when she and the others got home from pack duties and hunting all day..." Loka smiled a little, thinking of the frightened expression on her brother's face when he saw his mother. She wanted to be strong like that. To strike terror in the hearts of the Varg like that.
"Uncle Glade told me that that's just the way of the Varg. That anger is the Varg's allie, and there's nothing we can do about it. Even if you try and ignore the anger, it always burns inside of you, and, without it, you're not a Varg anymore..." Loka hadn't really understood how a Varg could not be a Varg without anger, but she took it to heart. She tried to learn from her mother everyday she saw her.

Kylie considered it. Perhaps Loka was right. If there was no anger, and control all the time, how, indeed, was a Varg a Varg? But still, it bothered her. It bothered her, like a nagging tug, a little like the feeling Glade used to radiate toward her - a nagging suspicion that would not sink under. Perhaps it would go away soon.
She turned toward Loka. "You're real smart, hey?" She said with a grin. "If it were me, I'dve forgotten something I didn't understand not two suns after I heard it. But hey, maybe you'll understand it better when you get round to huntin' too."

"Not really. I just listen to what the adults say. I'm not into that whole analyzing philosophy and legends junk. I just like to listen to it." She smiled a little, wagging her thin blonde tail.
"I can't wait untill I'm able to hunt with Mother. Even though she might have scared Ketlam, I'm not a wimp like him and won't be scared. The only thing that could scare me is Man. I don't think Gaiden could admit that, Mother told me that when I first told her that that that made me a stronger Varg." She grinned again as she stuttered as she said 'that that that'.

Kaeric walked over to the two, his silver eyes shinning as he simply listened. He sat down, and he looked to Loka, "Are you going to fight with Gaiden when he tries to become Alpha?"
Kaeric was friends with everyone, and he had always managed to find out everything he needed to help Loka, even if it meant betraying his own twin. He looked at Kylie a for a little back before returning his soft gaze back to Loka.

"There's room for two Alphas, Kaeric. A Dragga and a Drappa. However..." She paused, a serpantlike grin spreading across her maw. "I would like to see his tail whipped off him when I beat him once I get older..." She was still smiling, it would be wonderful if she could be an Alpha like her mother.

Kaeric shook his head, "I don't think Gaiden would like that. So, I hope you get lead role. Personally, I think you would be a better leader." Kaeric looked to the tree, watching a giant Golden Eagle land in the tree, "Karakichu agrees with me."

"Karakichu?" Kylie repeated, following his gaze up to the eagle. She tilted her head curiously. "Who's that?"

Kaeric looked to Kylie, "That's the flying Varg's name, Karakichu. He is the one who likes putting me in random places, and he makes sure I'm safe. Kind of like a mother wolf watching over you all the time."

"Kaeric, Karakichu isn't a Varg, he's a Flying Putnar. There's a big difference. Mother told me so." She smiled a little. "Thanks for that little comment, though."

Kylie smiled. "Kaeric and eagle is an eagle - a Putnar like yourself, but not a Varg." She stared up at the majestic golden bird, her green-flecked eyes curious. "I've seen that eagle before..." She said softly, rising to her paws.

Kaeric scoffed slightly, "Of course you have! Everyone has! I don't know anyone who hasn't! Father told me that Karakichu gave me my eyes, sent by Fenris and Tor. Am I right, Loka?" He turned to Loka, wagging his tail hopefully.

Kylie's brow twitched and she shook her head. "But I wasn't there, Kaeric. I never reached StarWinder territory until well past Spring." And it was true. She had run off one night, as a joke while she and Kett had been travelling down from the mountains. She had never expected him not to find her - nor give up on looking for her. So they had been seperated for roughly a whole season, before she had found her way back to her 'father' again.

"Yeah, Kaeric. Kylie wasn't here yet..." She had to think a little about the story of her brother's eyes. She didn't know it exactly, but she did remember a few things, like that her mother called Kirakichu a 'messanger of Tor'.
"Yeah...He did give you your eyes..."

Kaeric nodded his head, looking to Kylie, "I'm sorry, I didn't know." Kaeric turned his head towards Karakichu, thinking silently.
