Summer is the deer mating season, also called the Summer or Deer Rut. Stags fight for hinds during this time, and also fight against the Lord, trying to relieve him of his position and take it for themselves. This is the time when prey will be most plentiful, even better than the spring. It will be warm and muggy, though, so some years this won't be true. Sometimes, during wet to semi-wet summers, prey will be abundant and better than springtime prey. But others, like during semi-arid and even drought summers, prey will be thin, sickly, and rather hard to find.
Summer lasts for two months.
