Chiyo decided not to pester them too much, letting her legs guide her to the water again. The hind lowered her head, gulping up small sips of water. She wasn't really thirsty, though she just decided water would be a good thing now, for what reason she was unsure.
Though the hind's dark eyes kept staring at her own reflection, finding every little flaw in it she could. It disgusted even the hind herself, her blood. So impure, so wrong seeming. She looked like no breed of deer that she knew, which frustrated her. However that was because she was no true breed of deer, a halfling, which infuriated the hind more. An angered hoof in the middle of the reflection was the result, causing the water to ripple around her leg and travel down the stream.

Finally Yuri looked behind him, but there was nothing there. No Tala, no Herla at all. Not even a pathetic bird. There was nothing. Nothing. It sent shivers down his spine every time he heard that word. It made him feel so alone, so helpless, like he wasn't meant to be in this world.
The splash in the stream broke him out of the dark trance, and it pained him, slightly. He had never really cared for Chiyo, nor any other hind, but hearing the splash made him think. She was different, so they teased her. The world was afraid of her difference, and since she was like this, it made them think they were better. That was how he had seen another hind treated, one that was part Elk. He hadn't talked to her, af far back as he could remember her being part of the herd, for she never spoke to anyone, she always kept to herself. Perhaps Chiyo and her would get along, but, that was only Yuri's thoughts.

Chiyo sighed inwardly, turning from the water and walking farther into the plains. As far as the hind could get from the water atleast without leaving the area. She wasn't hungry, nor thirsty, and there was nothing good to do, which made her mad, along with everything else in the world.
Finally the frustrated hind just plopped to the ground, folding her legs by her side and scratching at the ground with her antlers, a sheer sign of boredom. The hind sighed again, though this time it was more vocally. She didn't really care if anything heard it though, for like the hind Yuri was thinking of, Chiyo was very inward too. She only talked to few, when it was needed, or when she felt it was. Other than that she was just there, like a presence, looming in the shadow of her existance.

Yuri was still thinking of Catori, but now he was thinking of her history. A princess, only brought into the world to save a few helpless Herla. He would never understand her pain, but he got a pretty good idea of why she was so cruel. Sometimes, Catori even made Tala look kind, which scared Yuri a little. He laughed inwardly, a small smile spreading across his face.
Dark eyes watched them in the feild, but she dare not move or say anything. She was only interesting in watching them, for that was what she always did. Watch. She didn't want to talk to them, she wanted nothing to do with them. All she wanted to do was watch.

Chiyo decided drawing small squiggle shaped lines in the dirt with her antlers wasn't very amusing, so the hind stopped, laying her head on the ground and looking around from the prospective. "Maybe if I was an ant, nobody would notice me..." She mumbled to herself, watching a small line of ants marching in the grass. "And I would look just like everybody else..." She sighed hopelessly.

Yuri stood over her now. "What are you doing?" His voice sounded quite rude, but he didn't look like he was doing it on purpose. His face was contorted into a questioning expression, a single brow arched and a dull gleam in his eye. "I never really considered you one to draw." He smiled, stepping back, ready for a flood of harsh words.

"Drawing, oh yeah. Heh, I love to draw. Atleast I don't have to think about what I am doing that, I doubt the dirt really cares." There was indeed a harse tint in her voice, though the hind didn't really mean it. She just hated how she was treated differently, and really it was none of Yuri's fault, though she had been drifting on the thoughts for the past few days now, and she was seemingly at boiling point.

"Hmm....Maybe you should meet Catori...You'd get along very well, you know." He smiled slightly, trying to lift the mood. He didn't like to see anyone so low, so he always tried saying something like this. Sometimes it worked, others it didn't. In this case, he figured it wouldn't, but it was worth the shot.

"Whatever.....You know, if you don't want to be here near somebody as low as I, you don't have to stay. I can tell you really don't want to be." Chiyo shrunk inwardly, at her own self-based insults. She was used to this, but in some way she wasn't now. It didn't matter though, she truely was low, and that was best to be learned.

"Low? You? You're the Leading Hind, Chiyo, I consider you everything but low. You know, compared to the others you're a bit...odd." That's the only way he could describe Chiyo. Stepping aside from his position of standing over her, he caught a flicker of movement from over on the other side of the plain. He figured it was either a hind or a fawn, run away from the side of its mother. Whatever it was, he kept his mind off it.

"Heh, if I were not lead hind, I am sure nobody would give me a second glance." The hind muttered, just audibly. She shook her head and drew to her feet, shaking stray dirt and grass from the departing winter coat, which left her copper coat peaking through the tufts of falling fur.

"You're coat's a nice one, Chiyo." Yuri mused, not intending for it to be a sweet-talk as some might think of it.
[GAHHH!!!! SHORT!!! I'm having the short disease....]

"Oh shut up you stupid stag." Chiyo said, a flare of anger lifting in her eyes. It danced around like man's orange fire, and the hind snorted before turning away, not amused but more disgusted with Yuri. She swung her antlered head side to side, as if to rid a branch from her antlers.

Yuri shook his head angrily. "I didn't mean it like that." He started back off towards the Stag Territory, from which he had originally come. He could see that he wasn't wanted here, and personally, he didn't really want to be there.

Chiyo knew he hadn't meant it that way, but compliments bugged her. She wasn't worth complimenting, she knew that, so should they. Though no matter how hard she tried to explain it to anybody, they never listened, which frustrated her. That was why she snapped at Yuri.
"Sorry," She muttered, though the hind doubted the stag heard her, if he hadn't, well his loss.
