A small lump of fur ran along the rapids, getting splashed occasionally. It was a red in color, with black paws. His white tipped tail dragged along the ground behind him, leaving a snake-like trail. His black ears swiveled back as he stopped, a small whimper leaving him. He had just escaped a small fight from a mother raccoon, and he received a smal scratch on the nose from it.
Sitting on his wet haunches, he whimpered again. Kindle had lost his mother, and he was scared. He let out a yelp as he noticed the mother raccoon: she had followed the small kit. His instinct took over and he leapt onto a rock in the middle of the the rapids, before a wave over took him and he let out a fox-like scream.
That's when Touji Kitsune, a female, heard her kit's cry. The deep red vixen shot off from her hunt, a growl escaping her.

ooc:Yeah...But I don't know who to be....Well, I guess I'll just go with Rikka, and maybe bring in Cyrus later!
ic:Rikka, too, heard the scream. Her large ears perked, the three feathers sprouting from behind her ear quivering gently in the breeze, spray lighting on them from the rapids. She recognized that the scream was from that of a kit, and the only kit in the Clan of the White River was Kindle. She figured that Touji would rush to the rescue, but she didn't want to wait and just watch from a distance.
Rikka stood by the rapids' edge, she had been trying to catch the new salmon that swam with the rapids back to their home in the mountain springs, lakes and rivers that were all connected to Rio Blanco. The kit's cry had interrupted her fishing, and, as Rikka tended to get, wasn't very pleased.
Dashing down the banks of the rapids, she leapt through the spray and onto the rock where little Kindle cried helplessly. Rikka's fur was plastered to her body, and she could hardly see through the spray and could hear nothing but the roar of the rapids. She picked Kindle up by the scruff, trying to shield him from the water and leapt to the other side of the bank. The racoon hissed and growled, but did not try to come to the other side, for fear of falling in.
"Are you alright, Kindle?" Rikka's voice was cold, but she was saying it nonetheless.

ooc//No, I was just thinking!
bic//Kindle whimpered, wrapping his tail around his body before nodding. Touji soon emerged from the bushes, tail dragging behind her. She panted heavily, before speaking.
"Thank you Rikka..."
Laying next to her young kit she began to dry him off by licking off all the access moisture. He curled up in his mother's soft fur before whispering to her. She cast a death glance across the river at the raccoon.

What's a racoon doing this close to the rapids? They usually stay in the calmer waters where they can clean their evil little paws... Rikka thought, glaring at the racoon. She had never liked racoons, they had a tendancy for being fiesty fighters and food theives. Snarling at the racoon, Rikka rose to her paws, and stared back across the river. She had saved enough lives that day, and should probably get back to her own business. Whatever that was.

Touji looked up at the Rikka with a thankful shot within them. She carefully took Kindle took her mouth and bowed lightly to the leader. Kindle gave a thankful kind of bark as Touji turned and ran off.

Rikka didn't smile, but scowled. There was something about that kit that annoyed her. She didn't like him, yet at the moment in the rapids, felt like she would risk her life for him. It was amazing what a kit could do to a vixen.
