The cool sand that spread accross the area of the StarWinder pack Dens cooled his skin, burning with itch. The bugs, after a long winter sleep, had already come out to get him. Sighing, he let his head rest against the sandy floor.
Glade sighed, staring out into the next den over. His sister and her mate, Tempestes' den. Two yearling cubs, the other two were no where to be seen, atleast at Glade's angle, played at the entrance of the den, snarling and falling over. They were almost getting too big to play around the entrance.
Glade soon fell asleep with the sun shining on his pelt, and the cubs yapping playfully, howling and rolling and burrying themselves in the dirty mess that they were making. His scars looked even more livid, and the very recent one, over his left eye, was looking very bloody, though it had dried weeks ago. Glade smiled as he was awoken from his nap by the sudden yelp of one of the cubs, it sounded like Ketlam, and the immediant appologies made by Loka.
Standing up and looking out over the hunting ground's plains, the beta Varg finally spoke in a gruff, exhausted voice,
"What are you two doing?"

ooc: Lipika's socialyness lives!!! ic: Lipika stepped out her den. She had to beg to her mom to death to be allowed to go out because the old her was not social, and her uncle was out to destroy her mom's relationship and doing that through, well the cubs. Her older brother had been stolen before, but that was a long time ago. She wandered over to Ketlam and Loka and started to wrestle around as well. She blushed at the sight of Ketlam who she reeeeeaaally liked. She had gained her social emotions when she had giggled when she first saw Ketlam. Now she was completly social, a litlle too social. " soooo, Ketlam," she said but then saw Loka and added her on in fright." And Loka, you wanta go to the river and disturb something?" She questioned in her new hopeful, spazzy voice. She looked at Ketlam questionably, knowing Loka would only come the day JEsus came back.

Ketlam smiled warmly, but a light confused fear glinted in his eyes. What is her problem? Ever since I met her at that meeting Mother held last winter she's been bugging me, sheesh! Loka, seeing what he was thinking by the look on his face, a forced smile, she bumped him onto the ground, a cloud of dust spraying into his face, causing him to splutter loudly,
"Hey! What in Fenris' name was that for?"
Loka smirked. Her eyes glinted coldly, her usual look. Ketlam then, still lying on the dirty floor of the den, smiled again, a real one this time, but the confused fear remained.
"Well, I guess...But someone has to stay here, or else Glade'll get in huge trouble..." Loka immediantly piped up, "I'll stay!" The little blonde Drappa then leaned down to his ear and whispered, "You can go with your girlfriend."
Ketlam snarled, but did not say anything more. He didn't understand anyway, but he'd make it seem like he did, though Loka could see through it easily, and turned back around, trying to nap like her Uncle.

ooc: I think I'm going to roleplay all day tomorrow... Ive become obbssessed, might read The Hunt, of course forcefully. ;D
ic: "So what do you want to bother, not another stag, my dad literally riped my hind off," Lipika sighed, knowing that Ketlam had to go since Loka had forced it on him, even though Ketlam and Lipika (ahhhh...<3) where actually friends. She turned as well, showing off the small bare spot on her right hind leg. She wanted him to reply, but emptiness followed. They walked to the river in silence for a long time, when LIpika finally couldn't stand it much longer.
" LAST ONE TO THE RIVER IS A RETARDED HIND!!" she yelled at the wrong time, as she raced forward dust following behind her feet a stag and his family stopped in her in her tracks. " Ketlam," she whispered into the wind, hoping it would carry over her shoulder, "we should run."

Ketlam padded slowly to her side, in no hurry to get the river, which he really hadn't wanted to go to in the first place. Seeing the stag, he almost turned around, but instead stalked away into the undergrowth around the murky banks, his stomach growling. His mother was out hunting, anyway, so it would be a while untill he would be able to eat.
The Dragga took no notice of Lipika standing in front of the stag, and quickly shot out of the undergrowth, lurching for the stag's neck. This stag was small, and the hind and fawns with him had already run off, and his antlers had already dropped, so he was an easy kill.
Ketlam didn't eat it as soon as it was brought down with a cloud of rising dust. Instead, he turned towards Lipika, an odd, serious, almost angry looking curiousity in his chocolatey red optics.
"Why were you scared?"

" I've never hunted and I don't know how, and no one taught me, and he growled real mean. I don't like mean people," Lipika replied, "like your sister," she added under her breasth.
"Maybe we should heading home, your mommy will be home soon, and I don't think my mommy will be happy if she finds out I'm down here after she trusted me to stay near home while she was out hunting with Uncle Chike and daddy." she finished with an over exagerrated sigh that was tired and ssad sounding, but still over exagerrated.

His hearing was better than she must've thought, for in the next moment, Ketlam was upon her, pinning her down into the mud. "What did you say about my sister?" He took his blood seriously. Then, realizing that he was doing what he was, leapt off her, and loped away, back to the dens. He didn't even return for the stag, he suddenly wasn't hungry.

When Ketlam reached what was probably out of hearing range, Lipika let out soft whimpers and her tounge carressed her chest and arm where his claws had gone into her skin. She walked on blood ssoaked on her arm, but luckily her chest had stopped flowing and she had wiped the blood out in the river. "Does he not know I'm easily wounded and I'm weak, adn I'm younger than him? I should probbably tell, Ankur I guess, then he can be the tattletale," She thought to herself, getting sidetracked at times, but finding her way to the path, or was this the right path? She had never been alone going to or from the river, she always had KEtlam or one of her brotheres or sisters with her, she wasn't sure of the mapping of the area. She was most likely lost.

Ketlam paused as he reached the middle of the plain that led to the dens. Lipika wasn't behind him. He couldn't even smell her. He turned his head back towards the dens, where he could see Loka pestering Glade, smiled, and turned back around towards the river.
He stopped again where he had last seen her. The river was the only scent he could identify, along with the faint scent of watery blood. If it were possible, he would have smacked himself at her stupidity. She had gotten herself lost, and she had made herself un-findable by masking her scent in the river!
Ketlam looked up, the sun was in the center of the sky. He had time to look for Lipika. He then turned to a tree, where a tiny sappling was shooting up from in between one of its gnarled roots. The little Dragga, knowing how to track thanks to his uncle, snapped the little sappling, hoping he could remember it, and moved on down the river.
Within two hours, the sun had moved only a little and was getting very hot as it filtered through the trees, Ketlam stopped. He had crossed the river by using the stepping stones near the Rendezvous Site and had traversed back into the forest. He stopped on the other side of the river, and sat under a tree. The bank was cool, made of hard packed sand, it made him sleepy. He was so tired, and his paws hurt. He had never had to step over so much ground before! Sighing, he set his head on the cool ground.
"I'll just rest for a little while...just a little...while.." And he drifted off to sleep.

As Tor's face dropped lower into the sky, Lipika smelt something, it was very familiar to Ketlam's scent. She followed her nose to its sensings and found him underneaath a tree asleep. She was tired and aching as well and decided to curl up next to him a take ... a little...n........Snoring was all that could be heard to find where the two were if anyone came to look for them.

Ketlam woke in the middle of the night, holding back a terrified yelp. He was reassured, however, when he saw Lipika at his side, safe and perfectly fine. Ketlam wanted to wake her so that they could leave, but he didn't want to ruin her sleep, afterall, she was younger than him.
So he carried her on his back all the way accross the river, and back to the spot where he had originally started from. It was easy to get to the dens, now, for they were right accross the open plain. He let Lipika down on the ground, and gently loped off to the dens.

After a while Lipika was awoken. SHe saw Ketlam loping off to the dens, and kept a close eye on him for the correct direction. She couldn't find her den in the dark and fell asleep on a big rock in front of Ketlam's den. It was more like Tempessstes' but she didn 't really care, after all she was way tired worn down, and her arm was pinched by the drying blood. She would have to ask Glade how he handled it so well.

Ketlam awoke the next morning, earlier than anyone else, even before Fenris woke and lifted his head into the skies. Tor's face had faded from the sky, it was a black cloak over the whole world, not even the stars would stay bright in the coming of the wolf god.
The young wolf smiled as he saw Lipika on the rock, but he did not go near her, she was asleep anyways, so then, why should he?
Instead, he headed back down the river, to wash off the mud he had carried on his back along with Lipika the previous day.
