Sky walked slowly into the flat field, with three 9 month old pups in tow. The fourth was walking beside his mother, he was blind. Even though Zephyr was blind, his sense of smell, hearing and direction made up for most of it. He could roam freely on the pack's terra because he knew it like the back of his paw but when he came to new terrain with new scents, he found himself getting lost easily. He had to walk beside his mother to tell what direction they were heading.
Luna, a pale golden pup ran ahead of her siblings and her mother. She ran towards a clear puddle. She started checking out her reflection. Ever since Luna had first seen her reflection, she had been obsessed with how she looked. She also was incharge of making sure Zephry looked presentable. As Zephry sat beside Luna She said, "I wish you could see Zephy(Her nickname for him), you could see what color looks like and what others look like."
Zephyr replied, "I can see with my ears and nose, Luna."

ooc: She's alone right now. I suppose she's avoiding Valke. Then again, she avoids everyone >>;
bic:
It had been a long, haunting winter. For most its biting cold and harsh nights seemed to be a cursing. Even her family of her only remaining immediate blood family crowned the season as the "Months of the Dead". Though after his arrival, retreating in complete solitude out in the heart of winter was preffered.
Though now the harsh season had ended, and the new season, the blessing of Spring, was amoung them. She was still alone. She should have returned back to her brothers by now, but with their unwelcomed guest tagging along with them...she supposed that straying from their company for a little while longer was fine.
Her walk was slow, as usual, her oddly blood-hued eyes half opened, and her auds where folded back lazily. Two ravens where perched on either of her Shoulders. Her companions, twin ravens, Kallas and Kilvas. Though they were enjoying the thawing weather far too much to speak up. So in a different sense, she truly was alone. And it was better that way.
She had run into a few others here and there a few times; pack wolves, and a fellow kerl by the name of Aslan. She...never really seemed to be on good terms with anyone. Maybe that other kerl...but she felt her presence wasn't worthy of anyone else's. She...truly was a kerl. Regardless that she traveled with four other Draggas. She sighed, however, shaking off any thoughts, and continuing her walk.
She stopped a while later, however, her ears perking up. One of the Ravens finally spoke up after the ivory wolf's halt had remained for a fair bit of time. The Female one spoke up softly.
"Is something the matter Bayne?"
The wolf's ears folded back again, slowly.
"There are...others. I...don't want to meet anyone, not yet."
The raven's wings shuffled, and the female's twin, her brother, spoke up instead this time.
"Aye, it's nothing. Keep moving, the faster we return home, the better."
Bayne sat herself down, Her eyes now scanning her surroundings. She spoke up, though even more quietly than before.
"There's more than one of them. I can't stand one Varg, how can I cope with more?"
The raven cawed silently, moving up to perch upon her head instead. He relaxed before speaking up once more.
"It's fine then. Though you're easier prey just sitting here. For him at least."
Bayne sighed. The raven was right. But she'd stay hidden for a while longer...until at least she could see them...they'd be easier to escape from that way.
occ: She's hidden right now ^^; And sorry. My muse isn't that great right now D:

ooc: It's ok
ic: Zephyr's ears perked but he knew he was the only one to hear it. He could here the voice of another varg but she didn't smell like a pack varg. He tried to tune out his siblings chatting while he picked up on the kerl's voice. Zephyr got up and without explaining where he was going, he headed towards the sorce of the sound. He knew it wasn't a good idea going alone but he had a feeling if he had asked his mother would have said no.
"Where are you going, Zeph?" asked the protective Cassiel. "I'm just going to check out the scents of this place, don't worry aslong as Ma stays here I will be abled to find my way back." Zephyr replied quickly before quickning his pace. Cassiel looked at his brother, concered for his safety. Ever since Zephyr had opened his eyes, every one had been very protective of him or treated him like garbage. On the pack's terra, he could hunt with the rest of the youngsters, aslong as the wind was facing him with the scent of the animal. He reconised animals by their scent and sound, he didn't know what they looked like.
Zephyr walked close to the path where Bayne and the ravens were. He intentionally made a sound to make sure that they knew he was here and then walked into the clearing. His pale blue, unseeing eyes settled close to where Bayne was. To an adult wolf, he was clearly blind. "Hello, kerl." He said while taking a few steps closer. From her scent he could tell that she was a fully grown drappa, if she was hostile he had no chance agaisnt her.

ooc:I'll reply! I can't believe there's actually a roleplay here again! I love Valke, Baggy! Will he come in later? He's so cute! In a...demonic mass murderer sort of way. xD
bic:
"Go and find them. Give yourself something to do."
"But Drea, why can't I go and hunt, or relax, or just stay here and talk to you? Why do you always make me do everything!"
"What, Citali's daughter can't find a mother and a few cubs? Is it too much for the wittle pwincess?"
"Don't you ever talk about my mother that way, Drea."
"Then do what I tell you, and you won't have to hear it from me."
Powerful blond legs shivered with the rushing blood that set fire to her heart. Her head pounded, blood roaring in her ears with each pulse. Why did Drea hate her so much?
Could she not see that Citali had never loved Loka? That she hated her, aswell? Or was it just because who her mother was, and the fact that this new Alphess despised her family line? The ivory Alpha of old could not have brought back the StarWinders from the dust, Drea had done that.
So why did she still find it within her heart to say such things about her mother?
"All right, find the Drappa. Find the cubs. Then you can go back. It's just a simple search. You're in your own territory, remember? Focus Loka, then you can forget what that Devil Drappa said about Citali."
Loka shook her head, a light clicking from her too-loose belt-buckle collar bringing her back as she broke into a light, loping run. The ground was still cold deep down, and she felt as thought she could connect with it.
Everything had gone downhill. Ketlam was dead, and now Citali, too. Glade was hardly speaking to anyone. How could Tor have brought on such a beautiful spring, and expect everything to be alright?
Suddenly, a peculiar whiff floated to her nostrils, dilating her dark pupils, sending her ears to an erect position and the banner of her tail to fall to half-mast.
Kerl. And one she knew.
But the good news was, she could smell the cub with her. But was that really good news?

Sky howled, telling any pack members nearby that her blind pup, Zephyr had wondered off. Sky couldn't leave to go find him because she couldn't lose sight of the other pups. She sighed, just take your eyes off a pup for a couple seconds and they were gone. Sky sat down, signaling for her pups to come and do the same. Why would Zephyr have wondered off, he usually is such a good pup? She thought. All she could do was hope that someone found her pup soon or else he could get seriosly hurt.
Zephyr sat down, not knowing what else to do. He sniffed the air, he could smell the two ravens on the kerl's back. He could now smell another wolf approaching, one he did not know but then he didn't know most of the wolves in the pack. His mother had only let him play with siblings and the pups of her friends. His attention then settled back on the kerl and he waited for her to react.

Valke? Do you really love him that much? He's a bit more crazy in Human form. Maybe you'll change your mind then...Bayne's not going to be happy though....But I suppose I could...throw him in, in a while...I'll reply soon. Please wait for me? xD

ooc: Yes, Valke is starting to give her nightmares >>;
Why are you...so afraid? Why is your heart so weary? Why do you always run away? I'll catch you soon...keep running, it only feeds my pleasure in finding you, fuels my anger towards you, reignites my lust for your blood. You'll come by one day, love.
Her slight halt in all her actions brought that cursed voice back...that...devil's voice back. She was forced, through natural instinct to suddenly stand up, her ears vanished within her current winter coat, her tail curled tightly beneath her hind legs. Her ravens had a bit of a shock due to her sudden actions, simply shuffling around for a bit, before calming down once more. They couldn't scold her...it really wasn't her fault.
Bayne was quite peculiar. Since she could remember, she had been taught not to look submissive, not to allow others to over take her. However, her self-made instinct, crafted by her horrid history, couldn't allow her to stay calm.
Her ears managed to straighten forward, in the dirrection of the first newcomer; the one she had sensed before. A whelp. She gave a soft sigh of relief, though she was somewhat...ashamed for reacting the way she had. Then again, it wasn't the Pup who had scared her in the first place, it was the thought of him that caused it.
She sat back on her haunched, observing the pup before her, her crimson hued optics fell upon his own first. He was...blind. That very fact caused her to calm down farther, and she later replied to his greeting. Though it was peculiar...something she was wonderful at.
"Are you...lost? Don't worry...I'll do you no harm."
Kilvas gave a quick, hard jolt at the back of ear, causing her to flinch slightly.
"What kind of greeting is that?"
His questions caused her to turn her head to look at him, instead causing her to catch yet another scent wavering in the air. She gave a soft growl to herself, keeping silent as not to seem hostile to the whelp before her. Kallas replied to her reaction, though in a more kinder fashion than her brother's.
"What's wrong now?"
Bayne's ears flipped back against her ivory cranium once more, though not through hostility.
"Pack Wolf. I should have headed back with the others when I had the chance to in peace."
Kilvas smirked, cawing mockingly.
"Even with that devil amidst them?"
Bayne turned her head back to the pup, though her full attention wasn't really on him. It was lost, somewhere...She answered the Raven's question quietly, as if to keep it from reaching the ears of the others now surrounding her.
"Even with that devil amidst them. Anything's better than running into pack wolves. I've learnt that."

ooc: How about Zephyr becomes Baynes companian? It looks like she needs another sane wolf to talk to.
ic: "We're not all bad, you know. You can't judge a wolf by their pack and what do you have agaisn't Starwinders anyway?" Zephyr replied in a almost wise adult like tone. He had become wise beyond his age because he usually wasn't aloud to go hunting with the other pups. He was very intelligent and would catch onto things before most pups did. His mother had told him that if he hadn't of been born bling he could of had a high postion in the pack. He then added, "The pack wolves are probably looking for me now, my Ma will be sure of that. Don't they understand that I can 'See' with my ears and nose. Even in an unfamiliar surrounding like this one, it doesn't take me long to become familiar with the terra."
Zephyr just sighed, walked over to the adult wolf and said, "I'm Zephyr by the way." He sat down a few feet infront of the drappa, waiting to hear her name and perhaps the names of the ravens. Even though he could not see through them, it felt like he was looking directly in Baynes eyes. Whith his what he called 'inner sight' he could feel his surroundings, so he could sort of tell where Bayne's eye were.

ooc:Okie-day..Sorry, I was grounded yesterday. My mom's stupid sometimes.
ic:How could she be so stupid? Limbs locked in place, she couldn't seem to move. The Drappa shook her head angrily, thinking of what that devil Drappa would say when she came back, tail tucked between her legs, just because she was scared of one Kerl.
Bayne wasn't like the others, Ketlam had gotten to know her. Glade, too. It was only Citali that hadn't liked any of them.
Stinging tears pricked her eyes at the very thought of her little brother. With another shake of the head, the clicking belt around her neck bringing her back, her legs melted, and she came running, nearly toppling into the cub she had come to look for.
Loka, breathing heavily, couldn't look up. She couldn't look up at the Kerl before her. She knew she would see him. He was dead, wasn't he? That's what happened when one you loved was gone- you saw them.
"Zephyr. Drea wants you and your family to come back to the Dens. Now."
Her voice was like a stone, so much unlike her usual bright sassyness. It was all Drea's fault. She ruined everything.

ooc: Just for Gina's enjoyment, Valke shall come in soon. He's a freaky stalker of Bayne xD
But you'll see he's very...two-faced >>;
bic:
Once more, due to the lack of any reaction, may it had been for merely a couple of seconds, she had dazed off into her ever-frequent "nightmares" once more. That devil really had a harsh influence on her. And she could only blame herself for this curse. Why hadn't she turned back to truly kill him that cursed day so many winters past? Instead she had only presumed he had died. But the demon rose up again, with nothing more than a large scar, and a vengeful demeanour.
She was brought back to her senses when the whelp had spoken up once more. [Seeing that the Ravens where again now too calm to really bother anyone…] Strange question he had asked her, and quite frankly, he was lucky it was only Bayne he had run into with a question of that sort.
“Child, if you heard my true story, you’d feel pity for this Kerl. I guess something can’t be rewound.”
Bayne’s head lowered. She was hit by a sense of sorrow again; for once finally not thinking about Valke. What did she ever do to be rejected the way she was? She was going to speak up again, but another wolf had appeared before her.
Her folded ears straightened up slowly, and she took an instant to observe the other wolf. She remembered this wolf…back when Viktor’s condition was near death…about two summers past, as she remembered it. She spoke up softly again.
“…Loka? Is that…really you?”

"Loka hi, sorry I didn't reconise your scent because of the new surroundings." Zephyr greeted Loka but he was still curious about this varg. Since the Kerl onviously knew Loka, it made him even more curious. He knew Loka had been the last alpha's daughter. All he could remeber about the last alpha female was her scent. He knew he wouldn't amout to much if he stayed with Starwinders but with Loka here he couldn't ask the kerl the question he wanted to ask.
He had always been pitied or varg were more gentle on him because he was blind. He even prefered for other varg to bully him than being pitied. He wanted freedom even of it was at the cost of leaving his family, his pack. He wanted to grow trong so even though he was blind other varg could depend on him. He would come back, able to protect those close to him.

She acknowledged the cub with a whisk of her banner of a tail. She wasn't worried about him. She wasn't worried about Bayne, either. It was her companions. Distant, but still there, right?
Her mother, and her uncle, had had some bad runins with these relatives of the kindred, shy drappa. The only one Citali had managed to find a slight liking to was the one called Viktor. He was the one so kind of Ketlam. Glade had a liking for him, too, but he respected Bayne, due to Aslan's constant runins with the one that stood before her now.
"Yes, Bayne, it's me. I haven't changed that much, have I?"
She tried to joke, but the laughter had lodged in the middle of her throat, causing her to choke out a strained, painful sounding...laugh? No. It didn't sound like a laugh. Partly a scream of pain, and partly a joyful exclamation.
Whatever it was, it hurt her inside to hear her try so hard. She hadn't changed. And that's what bothered her. She had always been this way. She wondered how Zephyr could see her. He had never seen her lovely outward appearance, but did that mean that he could see the undiscovered Loka of the inside?
What was she like? Was she kind like Bayne, or Glade, or Aslan, or Viktor? Or was she cold like her mother, Bayne's brother, Valence, or like, poison came into her mouth with the thought of her, Drea? Glade had looked at her and Drea the same when the monochromatic wolfess had come back with horrid news of Citali's death.
Which she had planned. Loka knew it.

Zephyr looked concerned about Loka but he knew he couldn't comfort her. He had been still to small to understand when part Loka's family died.(Right?) So he did not know what Ketlam, Citali were like. So he stayed quiet maybe he could ask his mother what Citali had been like, he knew he shouldn't ask Loka because it would bring back unwanted memories. So he sat there thinking, thinking about what the previous alphas were like. Were they kind or cold, were they level headed or half-witted? He knew that they couldn't be half-wits because they were alphas but still.
He wouldn't talk untill they addressed him directly so he was quiet. If there was some personal talk, like what they thought about the new alpha he wouldn't tell on Loka but someone else could be watching. So he sat there and concentrated on the scent of the flat plains, he could smell other varg but they were still far away and Zphyr knew that they would pick up his or Loka scent and follow them here so their time here was limited. He knew he woud be chastised when he got back to the Starwinder's terra but he did not care.

Loka felt a smile tug at her dark lips. She turned her attention away from Bayne, and turned her icy eyes upon the cub. It was a good thing that he had never seen her eyes. They were scary. Whenever she felt like she looked kind and thoughtful, she would realize that she looked very, very frightening.
"Zephyr, if you want to know about my mother, just ask me. I'm not afraid to talk about them."
A sting of a lie pricked her tongue, but she bit it back. She was scared. But fighting fears was what Citali had taught her to do, and it was what Loka had always done. Always.
